Five Star Bakery is looking for a bakery manager who has a passion for the world of baking and excited about leading others to do the same.  Our bakery manager reports directly to the Owner, Master Baker and Chief Executive Officer.  The daily role of FSB Manager is working to improve the quality of the day to day operations while assuring the front and back of house staff maintains and performs the established goals and objectives set by the organizations leadership.

On a day to day basis, the bakery manager is responsible for managing department inventory, in-stock position, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, and other operational processes to company standards.   Operational standards include ensuring all new department associates receive proper training and supervision. Also, ensure correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise and building of displays.  Additionally, the manager must follow all sales and production planning standards while ensuring that the bakery achieves the standards of performance.

Essential job specific functions:

  • Ensure all orders are prepared for delivery in a timely manner and incredible customer service.
  • Communicate incidents, problems, and concerns to CEO and initiate follow up and coordinate flow of production line

The responsibility of the manager is inclusive of but not limited to the functions listed above to ensure continued growth and development of the bakery.

 

 

Qualifications Must be at least 18 and over. Culinary education required. Management experience preferred – will train the right person. Must be able to frequently lift up to 70 pounds and pass physical test. Must have at least 1-year experience in bakery department operations or academic equivalent. Organizing kitchen by monitoring and maintaining inventory of products and supplies on display while ensuing the flow of baked goods Responsible for opening and closing of the facility as well as Coordinate staffing, conduct interviews and performance appraisals. Maintain fiscal responsibility with the ordering or supplies and as well as providing guidance and supervision of staff.
